Travis Lane, Hampden-Sydney, Senior, Quarterback

Lane, a senior from Richmond, Va., controlled the offensive tempo and helped lead the Tigers to 42 points and 446 yards of total offense in H-SC's 42-35 win over Washington and Lee to clinch the 2011 ODAC title and a spot in the NCAA Division III Football Tournament. Lane also did not turn the ball over for the second consecutive game. On the day, he was 21-of-33 for 331 yards and four touchdowns. He started the game going 3-for-5 for 57 yards and a 29-yard touchdown pass on the Tigers’ first drive. On the next scoring drive, he was a perfect 3-for-3 throwing for 75 yards, including a 42-yard strike to Sean Cavanagh.  In the second half, Lane maintained the Tigers' tempo on the first drive with a 3-for-3 series for 64 yards and a 15-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Vance.
