Andrew Ihle, Randolph-Macon, Sr., Quarterback

Ihle, a senior from Apex, N.C., put together a career-day in Randolph-Macon's 48-19 victory over Guilford on Saturday afternoon. Ihle ran for career-highs of 83 yards and five touchdowns on 13 carries for a 6.4 yards per rush average. The five rushing scores are one off the R-MC school-record. This is the second time in as many reports that a player from an ODAC school has registered five touchdowns in a game, with Ihle joining Hampden-Sydney running back Melik Frost's efforts from week three. Ihle is now tied for second in ODAC history for most rushing touchdowns in one game, while his five overall touchdowns and 30 points are tied for second and fourth, respectively. All three entries feature multiple honorees. Ihle, who lined up as Randolph-Macon's red zone running quarterback against the Quakers, ran in from five yards to make it 13-13 with 13:55 on the second quarter clock for his first touchdown. He then plunged in from two yards out at the 10:18 mark of the same frame for a 20-13 advantage. Ihle scored the first of his three second-half touchdowns on the Yellow Jackets' first drive with a nine-yard run out of the shotgun, dragging one would-be tackler to the goalline. He added a three-yard touchdown dive over the left side with 1:47 to go in the third quarter, and then capped the game's scoring with a 13-yard burst up the middle off an option play on fourth-and-three with 4:10 left in regulation. For the season, Ihle has run for 209 yards on 36 carries (5.8/rush). His eight rushing touchdowns are the most via the ground in the ODAC and are tied with H-SC's Frost for most overall scores in the league. Both have notched 48 points.
