  • Guilford Golf Coach Justin Tereshko Wins N.C. Amateur Title
    June 18, 2017
    Guilford College men's golf coach Justin Tereshko won the 57th North Carolina Amateur Championship Sunday at the River Run Country Club. The Quakers' fourth-year mentor entered the Sunday's fourth and final round with a three-stroke lead over Lansdon Robbins and maintained the margin with a one-over 73 Sunday.
  • Herbert and Hull Earn Nominations for Honda Woman Athlete of the Year

    Bridgewater College women's golfer Christina Herbert and Virginia Wesleyan University softball pitcher Hanna Hull both earned nominations for the Division III Woman Athlete of the Year award as announced by Executive Director Chris Voelz of The Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) presented by Honda.

    Wittenberg University staged a late rally and edged Guilford College by two strokes, 1,180-1,182, to win the 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship Friday at the Mission Inn Resort and Club.

    For the second time in as many years, a Division III golf national champion calls an ODAC school home. Bridgewater College junior Christina Herbert will head back to campus with a top prize in her hands as she won the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships individual medal on Friday. The ODAC champion topped the national chart for a two-stroke victory over her nearest competitor.
  • Generals Join Quakers in NCAA Men's Golf National Field

    ODAC men's golf champion Guilford College will not be the only league representative at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships next week. For the first time since 2010, the ODAC will feature two squads in the annual year-end event as Washington and Lee University received an at-large bid to the 42-team field.

    Bridgewater College senior Christina and Washington and Lee University junior Liza Freed have been selected to play in the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships. This is the second straight year the duo has earned at-large selections as individual players to the national field.

    Bridgewater College earned three major honors as part of the All-ODAC Women's Golf Awards ceremony following the second round of competition at Wintergreen on Monday evening. This is the second straight year the Eagles have brought home three plaques, although this time just two people were responsible for the load.
  • Guilford Lifts 16th ODAC Men's Golf Championship Trophy

    The final two players on the course decided 54 holes in the rain wasn't enough to complete play at the 2017 ODAC Men's Golf Championships. Guilford College duo Josh Hill and Kell Graham needed an extra hole to determine the individual champion after three days in the rain at Stoney Creek Golf Club at Wintergreen Resort, but there was no doubt about the team champion as the Quakers completed a wire-to-wire run to a 24-stroke win over second place Washington and Lee University.
  • Bridgewater Earns Second ODAC Women's Golf Title

    ODAC women's golfers played nearly all 54 holes of the 2017 conference championship in some sort of rain over three days of competition at Stoney Creek Golf Club at Wintergreen Resort. Bridgewater College won the team title by finishing 50 strokes better than second place Washington and Lee University, securing the program's second straight trophy with a 983 total (328-332-323).
  • Previewing the ODAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships

    The 2017 ODAC Men's and Women's Golf Championships are set to return to Wintergreen Resort and Stoney Creek Golf Course in Nellysford, Va., this weekend in Virginia's central mountain region. Championship play is slated for a play of 54-hole tournaments beginning on Sunday, April 23 and concluding on Tuesday, April 25.

  • Guilford Headlines Tight ODAC Men's Golf Spring Preseason Poll

    Just two points separate the top-two teams and 12 points differ amongst the top-three squads in the annual ODAC Men's Golf Spring Preseason Poll. Guilford College returns to the top of the coaches' survey with 95 points powered by seven first place votes, but Washington and Lee University is just two tallies back after collecting the remaining four top nods. Hampden-Sydney College rounds out a tight top-three with 83 points.

    ODAC women's golf continues to make strides as the sport prepares to open its fifth spring campaign under the ODAC banner. The conference's ranks have grown by two squads this season, with Sweet Briar College and Virginia Wesleyan College joining the league's previously established six programs.

  • EMU Tabs Mike Yoder to Lead Royals Golf Programs
    August 09, 2016
    Eastern Mennonite University has announced that Mike Yoder has been hired as the new Head Golf Coach. He begins his role of leading the men's and women's programs immediately. Yoder was recently the athletic director at Lancaster Mennonite High School in Lancaster, Pa., a role he filled for nine years. He also has a combined ten years of experience of coaching baseball and softball, as well as an assistant coach for golf.
  • Marlins Tab Bidnick to Lead Men's and Women's Golf Programs

    Rick Bidnick has been named to lead Virginia Wesleyan College's men's and women's golf programs, according to Joanne Renn, Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. A PGA Coaching Professional, Bidnick comes to Virginia Wesleyan from the staff of Nansemond Suffolk Academy. He served as the coaching professional at Sleepy Hole Golf Course, Bow Creek, Kempsville Greens, and Red Wing Lake Golf Courses.
