  • TODD PHILLIPS, Eastern Mennonite, Senior, Forward

    Phillips, a senior from Waynesboro, Va., wrapped up his final regular season by helping the Runnin Royals to three big wins over a six-day stretch. EMU enters the ODAC Tournament on an eight-game winning streak, which is tied for the best in program history. Phillips helped the Royals jump to a 17-2 lead on No. 7 Virginia Wesleyan Monday night and led all scorers with 22 points in the 86-71 win. He finished with his second consecutive double double as he added 11 rebounds and a game high five assists. Wednesday in his final home game, Todd Phillips helped EMU avenge an earlier loss to Washington & Lee. Phillips was 7-of-10, including 5-of-8 from three point range, for another 22 points as well as eight rebounds. Saturday, he had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists as the Royals locked up the ODAC’s third seed with an 84-82 double overtime win at Guilford. For the week, Phillips shot 18-of-37 from the floor and averaged 18.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals. He finished the regular season second in the ODAC in scoring at 18.5 per game. He is also second in the conference in free throws and is in the ODAC’s top ten in field goals, free throw percentage, assists, and steals.

    George, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., picks up his third weekly award of the season. The Tigers' forward averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 boards, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game in a 2-0 week for the Tigers. Against #19 ranked Ferrum (#3 region), he scored 16 points, going 8-8 from the foul line in the process. In addition, he added 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Against #6 Virginia Wesleyan (#1 Region), Harrison posted 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting to go with six rebounds in 25 minutes of action.

    Phillips, a senior from Waynesboro, Va., averaged 20.5 points in two games last week, connecting on 57% of his shots. The senior forward also was 4-of-10 from three point range. Phillips put in 22 points in Wednesday’s win at Lynchburg as he was 9-18 from the floor. Saturday, despite getting in foul trouble early in the game, he still tied for the team lead in points by halftime and led all scorers with 19 in the win. He dropped in 8-of-12 shots and added six rebounds in the win over Randolph. Phillips is second in the ODAC in scoring at 18.8 per game. He is also in the ODAC’s top ten in free throws, free throw percentage, assists, steals and blocks.
  • NATE CAMPBELL, Lynchburg, Junior, Forward

    Campbell, a junior from Cary, N.C., led Lynchburg to a pair of victories last week. The Hornets, winners of three straight, defeated Hampden-Sydney and Johnson and Wales on the road. Campbell shot 75 percent from the floor (18-for-24) for the week while averaging 21.5 points a game in the two victories. He notched 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting (5-of-6 from the line) to go with six boards and a pair of steals. He continued his hot touch with 22 points on 10-of-12 from the field, also connecting on both his attempts from the foul stripe.
  • COLTON HUNT, Randolph, Sophomore, Guard

    Hunt, a sophomore from Buford, Ga., earns his second weekly award of the season. Hunt continued to showcase his scoring touch over the past week, as he averaged 21.5 points a game in two big conference wins for the WildCats. Hunt shot 68.2 percent from the field (15-of-22), knocking down 3-of-6 from deep and making 10-of-14 from the line. He also chalked up three steals, had four assists and grabbed 4.5 rebounds a game this week. On Wednesday, Hunt scored a career-high 26 points against Roanoke, making nine-of-14 from the floor. Hunt was also huge on defense this week, as he helped the WildCats force ODAC top scorers Melvin Felix (RC) and George Johnson (EMU) to only four combined points on 2-of-18 shooting. He scored a team-high 17 points in the WildCats win over EMU, marking the program's first victory over a nationally ranked opponent in men's hoops history.

    Jones, a senior from Herndon, Va., earns his second weekly award of the season. Jones averaged 20.0 points this week in a pair of ODAC home wins for R-MC. In a win over No. 14 Eastern Mennonite, Jones tied a career high with 26 points in just 16 minutes of action, including 17 points in the decisive second half. Jones also pulled down a team-high eight rebounds in the win over the Royals. Saturday against Emory and Henry, Jones had 14 points and grabbed four boards. For the week, Jones was 12-of-18 (.667) from the field and 13-of-16 (.813) from the line .
  • JOSH PITTMAN, Guilford, Sophomore, Guard

    Pittman, a sophomore from Archdale, N.C., led Guilford to a 3-0 week with 20.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He scored in double-digits in all three contests, which gives him a team-high 12 games with 10 or more points. Pittman connected on a squad-best eight three-pointers during the three-game week. He led all scorers with 21 points and dished out three assists in the Quakers’ 61-57 win over 12th-ranked St. Mary’s (Md.). He scored 13 of his points in the second half, which helped Guilford overcome a nine-point halftime deficit. Later in the week, Pittman totaled 23 points, six rebounds and three steals, all game highs, in the Quakers’ ODAC win over Emory & Henry. He finished the week by scoring 17 points in Guilford’s league win over Lynchburg, the Quakers’ fourth straight victory.

    George, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., earned his second weekly award of the season over the holiday break. George averaged 19 points and 8.5 rebounds a contest to earn the MVP honors for The Car Coop/Weenie Miller Memorial Holiday Hoops Tournament. He also added on 3.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and shot 72.7% from the floor. On 12/29 vs. Marymount, Harrison posted 17 points (8-of-11 shooting), 7 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block. Against Medaille in the championship game, he tallied a double-double with 21 points (8-of-11 shooting) and 10 rebounds along with three assists, two steals, and one block. For the season, Harrison is averaging 19.7 points and 7.6 rebounds while converting 62.1% of his field goal attempts.
  • ADAM DESGAIN, Randolph-Macon, Junior, Guard

    Desgain, a junior from Richmond, Va., came off the bench to score 33 points in R-MC’s lone game of the week, a 97-55 road win at Averett. Desgain nailed 11-of-15 field goals, all coming from beyond the arc, to finish with a career-high 33 points against the Cougars. His 11 three point field goals ties an R-MC individual single-game record set by Joe Goldin against Emory & Henry on February 6, 1997. Goldin set an NCAA record by going 11-of-11 against the Wasps that day. Desgain's 11 trifectas also ties the ODAC single-game record, matching the efforts of Goldin, Camillo Weinz (for E&H 1/19/08) and Josh Rigney (for E&H on 1/4/10).

    Pugh, a senior from Silver Spring, Md., averaged 20.0 points in a pair of ODAC wins for Randolph-Macon this week. On Wednesday, Pugh helped R-MC tie a school record with 15 three-pointers, by making 6-of-10 shots from behind the arc for a game-high 18 points. Pugh also dished out six assists in the win. In a home win over rival Guilford on Saturday, Pugh and R-MC set a school record with 17 threes in a 19 point win. Pugh led all scorers with 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting from three point land. Pugh also had four assists and two steals. For the week, Pugh was 13-of-23 (56.5%) from the floor, including a 13-of-21 (61.9%) showing from behind the three point stripe. Pugh also dished out 10 assists.

    Hunt, a sophomore from Buford, Ga., continued his big play to open the season for the WildCats, helping them to two wins and nearly a third, falling in overtime to Ferrum last Monday. Against the Panthers, he finished with 18 points, five boards and three assists. Later in the week, he led the WildCats to their first ODAC win of the season, pouring in a game-high 20 points to go with seven rebounds, making 11-of-16 from the charity stripe. Saturday, he hit the game-winning shot with less than ten seconds to play in a victory over Washington & Lee. He made all but one of his eight field goals, grabbing five defensive caroms as well. For the week, Hunt averaged 17.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game.

    George, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., averaged 20.3 points and 7.7 rebounds in a 2-1 week for the Tigers. Against North Carolina Wesleyan College, Harrison scored a career-high 34 points along with six rebounds and three assists to guide the Tigers to the South Region Hoops Challenge title. He was 12-of-15 from the field and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe. Against Shenandoah in the first game of the South Region Hoops Challenge, George posted a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds as he shot 7-of-13 and 2-of-3 from three. Against NCAA Division I Elon, he posted nine points and five rebounds.

    Jones, a senior from Herndon, Va., shot 71.9-percent from the field and averaged 19.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in a 3-0 week for Randolph-Macon. In the season-opener against Marymount, Jones scored a career-high 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the floor while adding three boards, two assists and a pair of steals. Jones then helped R-MC to the Gettysburg Tip-Off championship. He was named MVP of the tournament after posting 16 points versus both Shenandoah and the host Bullets. For the week, Jones canned 23-of-32 shots and corralled 14 rebounds. He was also 3-of-8 from 3-point territory and made 9-of-12 free throws.
