  • ODAC Winter and Spring Sportsmanship Teams Announced
    August 20, 2015
    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2014-15 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the 17 winter and spring sports sponsored by the conference. This marks the sixth year the league has recognized these fine student-athletes for their excellence in sportsmanship.
  • Marlins Name Perry Director of Men's and Women's Tennis
    June 23, 2015
    The Virginia Wesleyan College athletic department announced the hiring of Martin Perry as the new Director of Men's and Women's Tennis recently. Perry comes to Virginia Wesleyan from Longwood University where he was the head coach of the men's tennis program. He has also led the Bridgewater College tennis programs.
  • ODAC Announces Jopson and Berkley Award Winners

    Washington and Lee University collected its 20th and 21st season-ending conference accolades as the ODAC Board of Directors announced its top two individual student-athlete awards on Monday. Generals' track & field athlete Jillian Katterhagen was recognized as the Marjorie Berkley Award recipient, men's tennis player Christopher Hu took home the Harry G. "Doc" Jopson Award.
  • W&L Men's Tennis Sees Season End in NCAA Second Round

    The 32nd-ranked Washington and Lee men's tennis team saw its season end with a 5-3 loss to 23rd-ranked North Carolina Wesleyan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at the Upper Courts on Saturday.
  • Washington and Lee's Krasner Highlights ODAC Men's Tennis Awards

    Washington and Lee standout Jordan Krasner was named the ODAC Player of the Year by the league's head coaches to highlight the All-ODAC Men's Tennis Awards. Guilford mentor Dave McCain earned ODAC Coach of the Year accolades, while Randolph's Bradley Strober garner ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition. The Generals' Michael Holt received the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award.
  • Generals to Host First Three Rounds in NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament

    Washington and Lee University will be the lone squad to represent the ODAC in the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Team Tournament, as announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon. The Generals were selected to host a five team regional while also receiving a bye thru the first round of competition.
  • W&L Men's Tennis Claims its 34th ODAC Championship

    The top-seeded Washington and Lee men's tennis team notched a 5-1 victory over second-seeded Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday to claim its sixth straight Old Dominion Athletic Championship.

  • ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament Set

    Washington and Lee University holds down the top seed in the 2015 ODAC Men's Tennis Tournament, as the Generals go in search of their sixth straight and 34th overall conference crown. W&L (12-7 overall, 10-0 ODAC) is followed by Virginia Wesleyan College (12-4, 9-1) as the second seed for the second year in a row.

  • Washington and Lee Headlines ODAC Men's Tennis Poll
    February 12, 2015
    Washington and Lee University, winners of the last five conference titles, headline the 2015 ODAC Men's Tennis Preseason Poll. The Generals earned 100 total points, including 10 first place votes from the league's head coaches. Virginia Wesleyan College sits second with 87 tallies, while Bridgewater College holds down third with 77 points and the remaining top nod.
  • Lynchburg Names Manilla as Director of Tennis
    December 18, 2014
    The Lynchburg College athletic department announced the hiring of Josef Manilla as the new Director of Tennis. Manilla will oversee all aspects of the men's and women's programs for the Hornets. Manilla, a 2014 graduate of Christopher Newport University, was a four-year starter for the Captains, earning a spot on the First Team All-Conference Tournament Team in 2013 as well as the Sportsmanship Award that year.
  • Hampden-Sydney Tabs Bareford as Head Men's Tennis Coach
    August 20, 2014
    Director of Athletics Richard Epperson has named Robert Bareford as the Head Tennis Coach. He takes over for Murrie Bates who retired in May.
