  • Competition Abounds at 2007 ODAC Swim Champs

    It should be another exciting weekend of competition at Radford University’s Dedmon Center as 11 teams take to the water in the 2007 ODAC/Atlantic States Swimming championships. While the competition includes several teams outside the ODAC membership, the fight for the conference crown should be competitive in the pool’s fast waters.
  • ODAC All-Conference Swimming Team Set

    Washington and Lee University continued its swimming success after winning the ODAC/Atlantic States Swimming Championships in February by earning nine spots on the All-ODAC award lists. Four Generals received major honors including junior Lindsey Strachan as the 2008 ODAC Swimmer of the Year. Tess Hayden was named the Rookie of the Year, and senior Amy Roberson took home her second straight ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor. Julianne Miata earned the Bonnie Kestner Sportsmanship Award.
  • W&L Seeded First in Preseason Swimming Poll

    Washington & Lee received six first place nods and 62 votes to narrowly edge out Randolph-Macon in the 2007 ODAC Swimming Preseason Poll. The Yellow Jackets picked up the two remaining first place tallies and 58 overall votes in the annual coaches survey. Randolph College collected 43 votes to round out the top three preseason seeds.
