    University of Lynchburg women's soccer made its 20th appearance in the NCAA tournament Saturday afternoon. The Hornets fell 3-2 to the Middlebury Panthers after almost completing an exciting comeback.

  • Marlins Earn Three Special Honors to Lead All-ODAC Women's Soccer Awards

    Bridgewater College and the University of Lynchburg garnered a league-best eight all-conference honors each and ODAC champion Virginia Wesleyan University collected three special individual laurels to headline the 2021 All-ODAC Women's Soccer Awards. Marlins centerback Sam Crawford earned ODAC Player of the Year status, while longtime VWU mentor Jeff Bowers received ODAC Coach of the Year recognition. Forward Breacain McClenahan took home ODAC Rookie of the Year plaudits to make it three special honors for the Marlins. Washington and Lee defender Chloe Rapier was tabbed the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the conference's athletic communications personnel.
  • Lynchburg Joins Virginia Wesleyan in NCAA Women's Soccer Bracket

    The NCAA women's soccer tournament is back! Fans would have to turn back the clock to November 2019 for the last time an ODAC team had the chance to play for a national women's soccer championship. The NCAA put an end to the event's hiatus with the announcement of the 2021 Division III Field on Monday afternoon. Two teams will carry the ODAC's banner into the national bracket. Conference champion Virginia Wesleyan University is joined by the University of Lynchburg in the 64-team field.

    The eight teams are set for the first fall ODAC Women's Soccer Tournament since 2019 with the conclusion of regular season play on Saturday. Virginia Wesleyan University enters as the top seed after collecting 25 points from a possible 30 in the league table.

  • Defending Champion Bridgewater Headline ODAC Women's Soccer Poll

    ODAC women's soccer returns to its traditional fall designation on the calendar following the first spring campaign a few months prior. Headlining the 2021-22 ODAC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll is Bridgewater College, which captured its first title in program history in the spring. The Eagles picked up seven first place votes on the way to 138 points to top the table by five markers over Washington and Lee University. The Generals earned four top nods as part of their 133-point haul. Virginia Wesleyan University sits third with 119 points, while the University of Lynchburg garnered the remaining two first place votes towards 116 tallies.

Conference student-athlete distinction and influence extends well beyond their athletic arenas with several taking home Academic All-America recognition from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
