  • Hodgert Returns to Sweet Briar to Lead Swimming Program

    Former Sweet Briar College record-breaking swimming and head coach at the former Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Donna Hodgert, is making her return to the ODAC as she was tabbed to lead the Vixens' swimming program. Hodgert takes over the program from Jason Gallaher, who stepped down following the ODAC Championships in February.
  • ODAC Announces All-Conference Swimming Awards

    Emory & Henry College took home two major awards as part of the 2014 All-ODAC Swimming awards. The Wasps' Allison Fowler and Michaela Nolte were tabbed the ODAC Swimmer of the Year and ODAC Rookie of the Year, respectively. Sweet Briar College head coach Jason Gallaher was named the ODAC Coach of the Year. Washington and Lee University's Stephanie Foster garnered ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete accolades from the league's sports information directors, and Guilford College's Morgan McKinnon received the Bonnie Kestner Sportsmanship Award.
  • Washington and Lee Captures 24th ODAC Swimming Title

    Washington and Lee University captured its 24th overall and seventh straight ODAC swimming title after racking up 953 points over three days of competition in the 2014 ODAC Swimming Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. The Generals won 10 events over the weekend, including two on Sunday during the meet’s final six races.
  • Generals Extend Lead at ODAC Swimming Championships

    The second day of competition at the 2014 ODAC Swimming Championships proved to be arguably the fastest set of events in conference history as 15 records were set or reset in addition to eight performances eclipsing the NCAA Division III "B" cut towards national championship qualification. Washington and Lee University was involved in nine new standards and five B-cut swims as the Generals extended their lead in the points standings.

  • Washington and Lee Leads After First Day of ODAC Swimming

    Washington and Lee University won three events on the way to 275 points to sit atop the standings after the first day of competition at the 2014 ODAC Swimming Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Seven records fell overall, with W&L involved in three new standards and Emory & Henry College figuring in the remaining four. The Wasps are second in the team rankings (148 points), while Randolph-Macon College (133 points) rounds out the top three.

    The 2014 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Swimming Championships will take place February 7-9 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC. This marks the third year the championship has been in Greensboro and the first year it will be web streamed live on ODAC.tv.
  • Washington and Lee Swimming Wins ODAC Relays

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference swimming members opened their seasons this weekend at the ODAC Relays at the Cy Twombly Pool on the campus of Washington and Lee. The Generals won the event with 448.5 points, followed by Emory & Henry in second with 285.0 markers. Randolph-Macon rounded out the top three with 232.0 total points.
  • Washington and Lee Tops ODAC Swimming Coaches Poll

    Washington and Lee University picked up eight first place votes and 64 total points on the way to topping the 2013-14 ODAC Swimming Coaches Poll. Emory & Henry College received the remaining top nod towards 54 tallies to move the Wasps into the second position, five positions higher than in the 2012-13 coaches survey. E&H is just one point clear of Randolph-Macon College (53 points) in third.
