ODAC Fall Sportsmanship Teams AnnouncedJanuary 08, 2015The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2014-15 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference. This marks the sixth year the league has recognized these fine student-athletes for their excellence in sportsmanship. Seventy-five athletes were honored this season.

BC's Kubisiak Leads ODAC at NCAA Cross Country ChampionshipsNovember 22, 2014Bridgewater standout Kaylee Kubisiak led a handful of ODAC runners at the 2014 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. Kubisiak was one of two individuals competing on the women's side from conference schools. Four individuals and the enter Eagles squad competed in the men's ranks. Kubisiak placed 60th overall, completing the 6K course in 22:52.7.

VIDEO: EMU's Ryan Gehman Shares his Story with WHSVNovember 19, 2014Men's cross country runner and South/Southeast Region Athlete of the Year Ryan Gehman recently shared his story personal story with WHSV-TV. It is a story of being an elite student-athlete while persevering through several challenges, including Asperger's, anxiety/panic disorder, and severe food allergies. Ryan hopes to inspire young people that they can overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams and goals.

EMU's Gehman Wins Cross Country Regional, BC Men QualifyNovember 15, 2014EMU's Ryan Gehman highlighted a strong showing by ODAC schools and runners at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships as the senior won the individual crown in the men's race. BC's men finished second, securing an automatic bid for the Eagles' squad into the NCAA D-III field. Six individuals from ODAC schools qualified for the men's and women's races combined.

Bridgewater Sweeps ODAC Cross Country ChampionshipsNovember 01, 2014For the second straight year, Bridgewater College put its stamp on both races at the ODAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships as the Eagles corralled both titles on a rainy, windy, cold day in Greensboro. BC's Kaylee Kubisiak repeated as the women's individual champion, while Washington and Lee University's Ian McDonald secured the men's crown.

2014 ODAC Cross Country Championships RecapNovember 01, 2014Guilford College served as hosts of the 2014 ODAC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships. For the second straight year, Bridgewater College swept the team titles in both events, while the Eagles' Kaylee Kubisiak did the same thing individually on the women's side. In the men's race, Washington and Lee University's Ian McDonald topped the field.

Bridgewater Tops ODAC Women's Cross Country PollAugust 22, 2014Bridgewater College picked up nine first place votes and 81 total points on the way to leading the 2014 ODAC Women’s Cross Country Preseason Poll. The Eagles are followed by Eastern Mennonite University, which collected the remaining top nod and 70 total tallies. Washington and Lee University holds down the third position with 65 points, while Lynchburg College is fourth with 55 markers in the annual survey of the league’s head coaches.

Eagles Headline ODAC Men's Cross Country PollAugust 21, 2014Bridgewater College tops the 2014 ODAC Men’s Cross Country Preseason Poll as the Eagles collected 10 first place votes towards 100 total points from the league’s head coaches. Washington and Lee University sits second with 87 tallies, including the remaining top consideration. Lynchburg College and Eastern Mennonite University are separated by just one point (78-to-77) for third position.
