    Guilford College attack E'leyna Garcia and Washington and Lee University attack Margaret Klein and defender Leanne Stone highlight the ODAC's contingent of honored student-athletes by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Each standout earned IWLCA Third Team All-American accolades, while nine other players earned IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region laurels.

    Fourth-ranked TCNJ used a 9-5 lead in the first half to pull ahead of the 12th-ranked Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team and claim a 13-7 win over the Generals on Saturday afternoon in the NCAA Division III Tournament regional round at Pratt Field.
  • Generals Advance in NCAA Women's Lacrosse with Win Over Denison

    The 12th-ranked Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team advanced to the regional round of the NCAA Tournament after posting a 13-5 victory over the Denison Big Red on Saturday afternoon at Watt Field. With the win, W&L (17-2) has tied the program's record for wins in a season.

    Washington and Lee attack Margaret Klein highlights the 2014 ODAC Women's Lacrosse Awards as she was tabbed the ODAC Player of the Year in a vote of the league's head coaches. Guilford mentor Sarah Lamphier earned ODAC Coach of the Year accolades, while fellow Quaker E'leyna Garcia received the ODAC/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete Award from the conference's sports information directors. Randolph-Macon midfielder Susie Snee earned ODAC Rookie of the Year laurels.
  • Washington and Lee to Host in NCAA Women's Lacrosse Second Round

    Washington and Lee University will be the lone representative in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament as the NCAA release its bracket on Sunday evening. The Generals earned a bye thru the first round and will host a second round contest against Denison University on Saturday, May 10.

    The 12th-ranked Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team was named the 2014 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champions and gave Head Coach Brooke O'Brien her 100th career win with a 9-6 victory over Guilford on Saturday afternoon at Watt Field. W&L earns the ODAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.

  • Pairing Set for ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament

    Reigning ODAC champion Washington and Lee University (14-2 overall, 10-0 ODAC) secured the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Women's Lacrosse Tournament as the Generals completed the regular season with an unblemished 10-0 record in league play. They earn one of two byes into the semifinals, with the other going to second-seeded Shenandoah University (11-6, 8-2).

  • Washington and Lee Heads ODAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll

    Washington and Lee University earned 95 poll points, including six first place votes to lead the 2014 ODAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll. Guilford College collected four top nods and 88 tallies, while Shenandoah University sits third with 82 points. Roanoke College received the final first place vote towards 78 points in the annual survey of the league's head coaches.
  • Geratowski to Lead Randolph-Macon Women's Lacrosse

    MK Geratowski has been hired as head coach of the women’s lacrosse program at Randolph-Macon College. She spent the past year as an assistant at the College of William & Mary. Prior to that, she assisted at Washington and Lee University and Richmond University.
  • DiCave Returns to VWC as Women's Lacrosse Head Coach

    Meagan DiCave, a 2012 inductee into Virginia Wesleyan's Athletic Hall of Fame, has been named the College's new head women's lacrosse coach by Athletics Director Joanne Renn. DiCave returns to Virginia Wesleyan after college coaching stops at Delaware's Wesley College and Pennsylvania's Division II Holy Family University.

    Director of Athletics Curt Kendall has announced the hiring of former Wilkes University assistant coach and interim head coach Danielle Hawkins as the head coach of the Bridgewater College women's lacrosse program.
  • Hayley Engster Picked to Lead Vixen Lacrosse

    Sweet Briar College Director of Athletics and Chair of Physical Education Kelly Morrison has announced the appointment of Hayley Engster as head lacrosse coach. Engster, a four-year starting defender for Bruce Reid at Lynchburg College, takes over the Vixens' reins from Eboni Preston.
