  • ODAC Winter and Spring Sportsmanship Teams Announced
    August 20, 2015
    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2014-15 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams in each of the 17 winter and spring sports sponsored by the conference. This marks the sixth year the league has recognized these fine student-athletes for their excellence in sportsmanship.
  • Hollins Tabs Richardson to Lead Swimming Program
    May 22, 2015
    Hollins University Acting Director of Athletics Bill Mannino is pleased to announce the hiring of Patrick Richardson to the position of head swim coach and instructor of physical education. After a search that began soon after the end of the season, Richardson comes to Hollins after a stint as an assistant with the William Jewell swim program.
  • Thetford an All-American Twice, Rollo Sets Record
    March 22, 2015
    Washington and Lee swimmers Tommy Thetford and Emily Rollo represented their school and the ODAC well at the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships, hosted by the SCAC at the CISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas. Thetford twice placed inside the top-five, earning a pair of All-American honors. Rollo set a new W&L record during her three swims.
  • Generals Swimmers Rollo and Thetford Earn NCAA Bids

    Two members of the Washington and Lee swimming team have been selected to compete at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships to be held on March 18-21 in Shenandoah, Texas. Sophomore Emily Rollo was chosen for the women's event, while first-year Tommy Thetford was tabbed for the men's championship.
  • ODAC Announces All-Conference Swimming Awards

    Men's swimming not only competed in its first ODAC Championship this season, but it also honors its first all-conference teams, joining the conference's women's programs in recognizing 68 student-athletes for outstanding performances at the 2015 ODAC Swimming Championships. Thirty-five women garnered accolades, while the first class of men's award winners highlights 33 honorees.
  • Washington and Lee Sweeps ODAC Swimming Championships

    The 2015 ODAC Swimming Championships marked the first championship in league history for the conference's newest sport, men's swimming. It was a familiar champion that claimed that title and the women's crown as Washington and Lee University stood atop the team standings after three days of competition at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Previewing the 2015 ODAC Swimming Championships

    The 2015 ODAC Swimming Championships, scheduled to run February 13-15 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, features a new change from past events. For the first time, men's swimming will join the women in a true championship format. Previously, men's swimming participated in an invitational, but with the inclusion of men's swimming as the 24th sponsored sport in the ODAC, a new championship is set to be competed.

    Just like in 2014, the ODAC is set to stream all rounds of the 2015 ODAC Swimming Championships. Coupled with the release of the new ODACLive.com video portal, the ODAC will have mutli-camera webcasts of all six rounds (prelims and finals) of the championships for both men and women. All streams will be free of charge.

  • ODAC Teams Prepare for Start of Inaugural Men's Swimming Season

    The landscape of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference had largely remained unchanged since the turn over century, but the last few years have seen the addition of new sport sponsorships and new league member institutions. That trend continues in 2014-15 as the conference prepares for the debut of its 24th sports, men's swimming. Greensboro, Hampden-Sydney, Randolph-Macon and Washington and Lee will all swim under the ODAC banner.
  • Generals Headline ODAC Women's Swimming Preseason Poll

    Washington and Lee University headlines the 2014 ODAC Women's Swimming Preseason Poll as the Generals collected eight first place votes and 64 total points in a survey of the league's head coaches. Emory & Henry College received the remaining top nod and 56 total tallies, two more than in 2013-14. Randolph-Macon College rounds out the top-three after garnering 50 points.
