R-MC's Selby and SU's Morse Selected in Major League Baseball DraftJune 08, 2018A pair of ODAC standout right-handers had a new door opened for them earlier this week in the annual Major League Baseball first-year player draft. Randolph-Macon College junior Colin Selby and Shenandoah University senior Colin Morse were selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals, respectively, on Wednesday.

Virginia Wesleyan Bows Out After Setting Program Wins RecordMay 20, 2018The Virginia Wesleyan University baseball team finished out is year Sunday afternoon, defeating No. 2 Rowan University before being eliminated by Misericordia University. The squad knocked out the Owls 9-6 in game one of the day before falling to the Cougars 14-4. With the results, the Marlins cap their season with a record of 31-16, finishing with a program record three wins in the NCAA Division III Championship.

Randolph-Macon Wins Regional, Headed to NCAA Championship SeriesMay 20, 2018The top-seeded Randolph-Macon baseball team topped fourth-seeded Christopher Newport 11-2 Sunday afternoon at Ting Stadium to win its first NCAA Regional title and earn its first trip to the Division III College World Series. This marks the second straight year that an ODAC team will make an appearance in the tournament finals following the run by Roanoke College in 2017.

Marlins Get 30th Win, Advance in Baseball RegionalsMay 19, 2018The Virginia Wesleyan University baseball team survived another day the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional as the squad downed Union College, 10-4, Saturday evening at People's Bank Park. The win puts the Marlins at 30-15 on the year, reaching the 30-win mark for the first time since 2004. The squad will now face off with the top-seeded Rowan at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday in another win-or-go-home match up.

R-MC mentor Ray Hedrick received ODAC Coach of the Year honors from his peers, while Maroons designated hitter Will Salva earned ODAC Rookie of the Year recognition. Eastern Mennonite University multi-positional athlete Damon Frazier garnered ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete laurels from the conference's sports information directors.
